Great time

We have stayed at this Hotel for a number of times and have always enjoyed our stay the food good along with the staff clean and we would like to have more entertainment in the connections bar at night the entertainment was only on for a hour

FABULOUS

I stayed at Rio Park again between 21-28 September 2018 and I had a fabulous time. We arrived long before check-in and were able to store our cases securely and go have a drink and meal. I wasnt a bit fazed that Club room 808 was still being painted when we got our key. My roomate and our friend were not so forgiving. I paid for the holiday and I think if anyone had a right to complain it was me. I had no wish too. MedPlaya have been upgrading the hotel for at least a year and they are closing down for six months in order to complete the upgrade. I was more than happy with my room albeit the air conditioning wasnt working. Not a major problem. I simply left the balcony doors open. My room was spotless thanks to Pilar. The reception staff were extremely helpful and kind. The bars and restaurant staff efficent and very friendly and the food was delicious and varied. The entertainment would give Las Vegas a run for its money. All the staff work really hard and they are the most accommodating people one could wish to meet. I am booking for the re-opening. Wonderful hotel in every way. Muchos Gratias

Excellent for 2 star accommodation

We were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this accommodation. We had wanted a cheap week away in the sun and that’s exactly what we got with bonuses. We arrived early for check in and one of our rooms was already ready. The reception staff were very helpful. The initial impression of the hotel bar was that the choice and variety on offer would easily rival some of the pubs on the strip. Being Irish, my husband was pleased to get Guinness on draft and it was of good quality. A nice touch is that you can buy British newspapers from reception. There is also a small shop on site which we used a couple of times for essentials. There are plenty of sunbeds around the pool area and lots of shady areas as well as tables and chairs if you’d rather sit. The breakfast was a bit samey although there was plenty of choice and you could always find a table in the dining room. We also availed of the evening meal on one occasion for convenience and this was great considering the €5 price tag!! We had booked two of the renovated rooms and were impressed with the standard of the shower rooms and modern fixtures in the bedrooms. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would return.

food

The gala night,Friday was excellent,you got a glass of cava This was the only time cava was given The food on the rest of the days was dire,no steaks,no prawns,value for money was poor The room was really nice,upgrade The entertainment in the hotel is not as good as a few years ago The price of wine,cava has shot up ,suppose the tourists have got to pay for renovations In summarise ,the hotel is not good value for money

September break

The room was very modern and clean. We were staying in the club rooms and were definitely worth the extra money. The staff were very helpful from reception to bar and restaurant,but a special mention has to be for the entertainments team who were all amazing especially Nacho.

Enterainment Poor due to outdoor sound quality

We thought the quality of the sound outdoors was very poor when the entertainment was held in the main lounge earlier it was much better. The girl who looked after our rooms Chelo was brilliant.

Club Rooms

Another short stay at the Rio Park marred only by having to go down to reception three times to ask for the Club Room amenities to be supplied. Surely these should be put in the room automatically! Also, if you dont bring a towel with you as you are planning on making use of the Medplaya towels for around the pool, please note that you cannot get these between the hours of 12 noon and 5pm - very inconvenient!

dissapointing room

cant fault the hotel for anything else except the room we were allocated 128.our view was looking out on to the roof of the bar underneath,and a minimal view of the pool .I had requested a high floor ,the room was in need of a good updating. We were very disappointed to say the least, after paying over 900 euros for our stay.
